Cobblestone Dreams Shawl
The second pattern in the Dreamscapes Shawl Collection, a collection inspired by wandering thoughts and travelling dreams.
I started a shawl because I was craving simplicity during lockdown. As I knit, it became inextricably entwined with my hopes for my daughter. She was applying to German universities for her master’s degree. It was time for her world to expand in a giant adventure, yet the world was narrowing, narrowing. Proud mama, I wanted her to fly the nest and spread her wings while also wanting to wrap her in a hug. We were both dreaming of her living a new life where she walked on cobblestones and practiced her German, so this shawl came by its name very easily.
